Dr. Desai is a medical graduate with post graduation in hospital management and business management. He is the founder of Hosmac and his major areas of interest are strategic business planning, macro level project co-ordination and incubating new business ideas. Dr Desai is a faculty with prestigious academic institutions in India and teaches Health Economics and Hospital Planning. He has been special invitee on major industry bodies like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Indian Merchant Chambers (IMC) etc. He has also worked as an advisor to multilateral agencies like World Bank, USAID, Ministry of Health etc.

Mr. Narendra Karkera is a Senior Advisor of HOSMAC; he carries over 36 years of experience. His exposures to various industries include those such as Textile, Electronics, Marine and Healthcare, to name a few. For the last 22 years he has been associated with the Healthcare industry and has worked in the capacity of Senior Management at reputed hospitals like Hinduja, Lilavati, Manipal, Welcare Hospital (Dubai).In addition he has also been associated in setting up a Medical College and Hospital in Dharwad. He has rich experience in costing, budgeting and setting up systems, procedures, MIS in various industries and hospitals.

A background in Commerce (Honours – Accountancy) and Finance, but Masters in Healthcare Planning, a facility planner by training with acquired learning in the fields of architecture and engineering as they apply to the field of healthcare infrastructure and practices, and now the Business Head – Hosmac Projects, the healthcare infrastructure solutions division of Hosmac India Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Sameer has been associated with Institute of Healthcare Management Research, Bangalore as visiting faculty for Hospital Planning and at K. C. College of Management Studies, Mumbai for Hospital Planning.

Mrs. Jagruti is a trained microbiologist with post graduation in laboratory technology, hospital administration and business management (specialization in HR). She is trained assessor for Accreditation programs of JCI and NABH and has served as a member on various state, national and international level committees for infection control and environmental issues. She has a rich experience of 21 years in healthcare and her areas of specialization include business strategy formulation, financial analysis, and human resource management. She is an Advisor to the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of Maharashtra, MCGM, Mumbai and a special invitee to bodies like BCCI (Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and been guest faculty with Institute of Science, Mumbai University, SNDT University. She has also been a speaker at various national and international seminars and a winner of many prestigious awards like ‘CAP award for Excellence in Knowledge sharing’.

Mr. Satish Bhalerao is a architect by profession who has done his thesis on General Hospitals.He has had exposure in designing all types of buildings from hotels to industries. The complexity involved in the design of hospitals has always interested him so much so that he has spent 11 years in designing hospitals of various kinds. He has extensive allround knowledge of the healthcare field having worked on all aspects from designing to commissioning of hospitals all over India & a few overseas projects.

Mr. Krishnendu is a master of science in zoology from Calcutta University and Management Graduate in Environment and Hospital. His thrust area of working is quality in healthcare, hospital operation & commissioning, environment management and customer relationship in health care. He has worked with Narayana Hrudayalaya, Wockhardt Hospital, Hindustan Latex family Planning Promotion Trust . His experience of working in five different states gives him insight on business environment, patient behavior and health care delivery in India.

Ms. Shah has over fourteen years of experience in architecture design, planning and interior design. She holds five years of International Healthcare Design experience from Canada. While there, she had been responsible for planning and working drawings for hospital’s several complex departments as well as equipment co-ordination. She is a Certified Internal Auditor for ISO, and has undergone training in Green Building LEED certification program by IGBC. She is a Senior Architect at HOSMAC and has extensively worked on various projects including Medical College Campus, an Oncology Centre, Cardiac Super Specialty Hospitals and other Multi-Specialty Hospitals.

Ms. Priya is a versatile, creative and methodical Interior Designer with a practical approach to aestheticism. She has extensive experience of 23 years in in interior architecture , design and space planning. An impressive track record of client satisfaction and timely project delivery with in stipulated budget. Excellent proficiency in customer interaction/relationship management and communication skills. Efficient Microplanning within designed spaces is her forte alongwith her attention to detail. She has been resposible for designing and execution of projects in Hosmac to the last detail . She is also an active member of IGBC activities within India, bringing her skillset in providing Green Healthcare.

Mr. Paaresh Gujrathi is a biomedical engineer. He is trusted with the responsibility of business development at Hosmac India Pvt. Ltd. He takes care of the business for Build Services, Turnkey Design, Architectural Design, MEP and Equipment Planning & Procurement divisions. He has experience of 10 years in business development in medical equipment (sales and service).He has taken detail technical training at Germany).

Mr. Roy has a truly global exposure to the world of healthcare technology. In a career spanning around three decades he has worked in challenging environments in USA, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands and India. His has learnt the tricks of the trade at Trophy Radiologie, France; Angenieux, France; Pie Data, Netherlands; Jaegers Medizintechnik, Germany; Healthcare Equipments & Supplies, United Kingdom; Liebel & Flarsheim, U.S.A; Trophy Radiology, France; Soma Technology Inc, U.S.A; SBS Inc, U.S.A among others. He was a pioneer of sorts when the concept of healthcare consulting set its roots in Eastern India with practical experience in different hospital projects (Duncans Gleneagles Diagnostic Centre, Arya Hospital, Megacare Hospital etc.). His domain expertise encompasses sales & service of biomedical equipments including the training and teaching aspects. Most importantly he has a complete understanding of the nitty-gritty of a healthcare organization, having been involved right from the conceptualization stage to the fully functional set-up.
